"Looks like it's actually N835J a slight number change from the original N335J. When Ed Weiner sold it he maintained the original N# for himself. If you look closely, the 9 doesn't pan out because the upper circle does not match the the centerline of the numbers when extended out to the base of the lower arc. If I'm right, it should be s/n 44-73849, crashed in 1984."

I believe you're right Sully. At the time of the photo, Aero Enterprises registered it N835J. The P-51 passed through several hands until landing with Jack Levine in 1974. He registered it N51JL. He was killed in this P-51 in 1984. The aircraft struck a wire at low level flight and then crashed.

In the 70's Bob Walker of Tulsa,Ok owned this P-51 and then sold it to bill Harrison . It base base at iverside Airport in Jenks,Ok. I enjoyed many flights with my dad. it was GREAT
