Readers' Responses:

Roger Baker: Could it be N6301T? That airplane was in the Chicago area during the early '60s; bare metal, cuff blade prop, same antennas...however, slightly different contours to the anti-glare panel on the photos that I have of '01T taken around '65-'68.

Sorry, Roger. Hint: the N number is all numbers (5 of them) and they add up to a total of 14.

MM.com

Roger Baker: Another shot at case 146...since it wasn't N6301T....could it have been another of the MACO group of airplanes (44-73428) registered N6324T at the time of the photo? Later with Lefty Gardner as N12065. (Great hint!)

Sorry, Roger. Very good try though.

Roger Baker: I usually don't get fixated on things like this...but, since this case is a photo by my old friend, the late Earl Reinert (from whom I got my FM-2 long ago), I really wanted to "figger" it out. From your hint, I'm gonna' guess that it's N10607 (44-74466).

Way to keep at it Roger. You are right! Dave also has it right (below)

Dave Lindauer: Based upon the hint, I'll take a guess that this is N10607, 44-74466. Currently "Barbara Jean" registered to Parmley Aviation Services Inc. with Harry Barr, it was previously well known as Wiley Sanders' "Georgia Mae" and Jack Sliker's "Escape I." Previously RCAF 9227, by the early 1960s this one was with George Hanby.

Case Closed!
