Hi,
I agree with Roger. The picture might have been taken in the mid-60's, before the plane was rebuilt as the Cavalier F-51D MkII demonstrator (no wing tip tanks and camo scheme yet). Cases #253 and #254 are most probably the same aircraft.

4222A and 51DL are the same aircraft ,based inRIC.in 1957 .
