| Correct location Jack, you can barely see the large old hangar with "Salinas" on it in the background. This P-51 I was able to see in the late 90's (98 or 99) but Art would not let me take any pictures of it at that time. It was kept in airworthy condition by Art and staff. The owner came by mabye once or twice a year and flew it. I was told that he always used 3-point landings which is not too commmon in the USA today. Someone told me that it is hard on the rear fuselage. No name on it at that time, just the star and bars. Still flying today, in different colors. |
