This is N12064 aka 44-73683 around 1969 - maybe at Hollister, CA.

Former Nicaraguan AF GN-119.

It later became N5551D (1972) and appeared as "Jumpin Jacques" and later as "Contrary Mary" and is now at the San Diego Aerospace Museum, CA, in 332nd FG colors as "Bunny".

this is indeed n12064 in 1969 at chino at the aerosport hangar george brown is riding the nose.i bought n12064 the very next week from george for $25,000. i owed her from 1969 til 1980.i repainted her in the same basic civil paint job in 1972 and changed the n number to n5551d at that time. atc always called her "triple 51d" after that. i repainted her again in 1975 to "jumpin jacques" after lt.j.e. "jacques" young from dayton oh. in kenny's 5th 13th air commadoes paint job. i sold her to john watson of blackwood n.j. who sold her to jimmie hunt who repainted her contrary mary then sold her to the san diego museum. that is the detail of the picture in question. keep up the great website and flow of information. thanks johnny

Yes, Indeed, this is a picture of my father, George Brown. I was so happy to see the picture. The above information is all correct and I have his log book where he had logged over 200 hours and I have many more pictures of his 51 which
I can furnish. Tragically, my father passed away in June of 2004 from a brain tumor. His passion for life was only rivaled by his passion for flying. And oh how he flew.
