Jim Church: Case #51 shows Tom Friedkin's Mustang 'Susie,' when it was registered N711UP, after having been restored by Gordon Plaskett. That makes it 44-73856, which is now registered to Friedkin as N7TF. It now wears a paint scheme representative of a Pacific Theater Mustang, which is kind of refreshing considering all the Eighth Air Force schemes worn by restored Mustangs today. Previous to the restoration by Plaskett, it had been registered N5077K.

William Yoak: This is without a doubt N7TF which was acquired by Tom Friedkin in the early 1970's.I'm not certain as to the history of this aircraft prior to his ownership but am pretty sure that it was either an an ex-RCAF Mustang or had at least been based in Canada -- perhaps under civilian ownership.This aircraft is one I will never forget because I had flown in it on numerous occasions with my father during my childhood from the time I was about eight years old. He and Mr. Friedkin have been good friends for several years and have both participated together in the flying portion af several aviation-related motion pictures-- most of which were done in Friedkin's various warbirds. He had also flown several aircraft for Tom Friedkin over the years. As far as I know, the aircraft is still owned by Mr. Friedkin. However,it has been in a different WWII style paint scheme than that in the Case #51 photo for several years. However I have not been around it in the last few years.
