Martin Kyburz: This is how 44-73287, today flying as N951M 'Worry Bird' (D7-J as with 339th FG 503rd FS) looked like some time ago. After a short time with the 8th USAAF, it went to 188th FS NM ANG in 1948 and later transferred to 165th FS KY ANG; s.o.c in 1956 and stored as scrap at McClellan AFB it was bought in 1958 by William Kelbaugh and received registration N5445V. It went through different owners, adopting registrations N51DF, N751JC, N5445V (again) and finally N951M of Michael George, based at Springfield, IL, who maintains this ship in immaculate condition.
