Miss Frances?, sn#?, Taken in the '70's.

Well, several of you tried, but no correct answers. I had to dig up the slide and do some close up scanning. I got the N number off the red stripe of the tail. It is N119H. Back in 1973 or so Jack Flaherty of Monterey, CA owned this P-51 serial # 44-73275. Registered N119H in 1966. In 1963 it was N2868D. N119H went on the civilian market in 1957 when it was sold surplus from McClellan AFB, CA. My info shows that this P-51 is now owned by James Elkins in Salem, OR. At this time the P-51 is named "Never Miss", pictured below.

P-51

I had to dig up a slide and trace an N number, but Dan Martin knew right away who's P-51 this was. Thanks Dan! (next time I'll ask him first)

Does anyone know what happened to Jack Flaherty? As a teenager I was "crew" on his P-63 at Oshkosh. Over several years he owned an interesting collection of war birds.

Thanks.
