1989: Bob May began recovery efforts for a FAU P-51 that was reportedly in the Rio Negro River in Uruguay. P-51 crashed during a bombing training mission.
1991: on site recover begins, Bob May
1992: wreckage found, paperwork and lawsuits
1994: wreckage shipped to USA, Gerry Beck's shop in North Dakota. To be restored as "City of Winnipeg Sqdn."
2000: Mar 8, N63476, Dakota Mustang Inc, Whapeton ND
2004: first flight
2008: sold, Tom Friedkin, who has quite a collection of warbirds.
2010: Jan 22, sold, Claire Aviation / Tom Duffy
2012: new paint, named "KWITCHERBITCHIN"
2025: Jul 12, N63476, active/flying, KMJX Toms River NJ
