Case #79 shows Angelo Regina's N1040N, s/n 44-73210, 'Widowmaker.' It was rebuilt from an aircraft recovered from an Israeli Kibbutz in the late '70s, it adopted the identity (and used some parts of) of an aircraft which had crashed fatally in '73. Now owned by Ike Enns, and renamed 'Miracle Maker,' it is based in Manitoba, and carries the registration CF-IKE.

The a/c is still owned by Ike and Liz Enns but is based at Riverside - Jones Airport in Jenks, Oklahoma.

Thank you, I often wondered what happened to that airplane. I was involved in the restoration efforts for several years at Van Nuys airport with Angelo's and his brother Pete' P-51's.

Mr Hungerford,
My dad, William J. Bray III, was also involved with this project as well as another of Angelo’s Mustang projects. Dad helped Pete with some of his projects and I’m sure the name Asher Ward is familiar to you as well.
I was around 14-15 years old when Angelo brought the crate home from the Kibbutz Star of David and all! I thought Angelo was going to convert this “D” into a “C” or maybe it was Pete, either way there was a lot cool work going in those VNY hangars back then. I would love to hear some of the stories you must have and share some of dads with you.
Respectfully,
William J. Bray IV
